VIBRANT DISTURBANCE II

YEAR: 2013
MATERIALS: 80 loudspeakers, 40 electronic circuits, 1000m wire
MEASURES: 10m x 10m x 4m / site specific
EXHIBITION HISTORY: 'LAK - Festival of Nordic Sound Art 2013' at '68m2' Copenhagen, Denmark. September 2013 / IN-SONORA VIII - Muestra de arte sonoro e interactivo 2014' at 'Cruce Arte y Pensamiento Contemporáneo' Madrid, Spain. March-April 2014.

Vibrant Disturbance II is a study of the relationship between light and shadow, where autonomous circuitry translates the intensity of light into sound.

Throughout the exhibition space this responsive environment is affected by the inflow of light, primarily due to the weather conditions of the particular day as well as the seasonal changes. On a minor scale the mere presence of the human body is also an influence, via the shadows and changes of light (interference) that the body naturally will produce in the space. During the exhibition period the installation and experience will therefore be constantly changing, whereby the piece also, over several visits, invites to a discussion about remembrance of memories in space and time.

The exhibition at ‘IN-SONORA VIII' located at 'Cruce Arte y Pensamiento Contemporáneo' Madrid, Spain was kindly supported by the Danish Arts Foundation - Committee for Visual Arts, SNYK, and the Embassy of Denmark in Madrid.
