Alternating Currents V is a part of a series of kinetic sculptures attempting to enlarge the unheard and/or the unwanted. Consisting of slowly rotating loudspeakers (one revolution per minute), this piece is connected directly to the electrical grid. Here a conversion takes place, as the alternating current from a power outlet of the building is transformed into sound in the form of an 50hz drone (Europe/230v).
